The Canny Collar is a comfortable no-pull dog headcollar made to help train dogs that pull on the lead. Its patented behind-the-head design gives you greater control without pulling your dog's head to one side, so you can teach calm, loose-lead walking using a gentle pressure-and-release technique.
How it helps with pulling
When your dog pulls, gentle pressure is applied across the bridge of the nose. As soon as your dog stops pulling and the lead loosens, the pressure is released. This helps your dog learn that walking calmly beside you on a loose lead is more comfortable.
Praise or treats can be used to positively reinforce good walking behaviour. The Canny Collar is a training aid rather than a quick fix, helping you build better walking habits together.
Behind-the-head design
On many headcollars the lead attaches beneath the chin. On the Canny Collar it attaches behind your dog's head, so lead pressure is applied straight back rather than pulling the head sideways.
The design also helps prevent the noseband riding up towards your dog's eyes and makes it much more difficult for your dog to get a paw over the lead and pull the noseband off.

Fitting and use
- Fasten the collar around your dog's neck.
- Attach your lead to both D-rings.
- Place the noseband over the muzzle.
Sizes and colours
Available in seven sizes for neck measurements from 23cm to 58cm, with four colours to choose from: Black, Red, Blue and Purple. Not every colour is offered in every size.

Dogs with a neck measurement over 58cm are outside this size range. The Canny Company makes a separate heavier-duty headcollar, the Canny Colossus, for giant breeds.
From headcollar to regular collar
The removable noseband makes it easy to move your dog towards walking on a conventional collar and lead as their loose-lead walking improves.
For off-lead exercise, remove the noseband from your dog's muzzle and secure it beneath the chin using the supplied carabiners. This allows the Canny Collar to stay comfortably in place while your dog is off-lead.
Important
The Canny Collar is designed to be worn when walking, training and when your dog is let off lead temporarily. It is not a substitute for your dog's regular collar. Never attach your lead to the carabiners.

Couriers
We use a mixture of Royal Mail, FedEx and DPD as couriers. We aren't able to specify a preffered courier per order. It is decided based on which will get you the order the fastest, at the time it is dispatched.
Your tracking number and courier name will be provided when your order has been fulfilled.
Custom photo cushions & Dog mattresses
These products are hand-made to order so take between 3-5 working days to be produced from date of order. Usually we see faster turnaround times but please be mindful when ordering.
Overseas
We don't currently ship overseas.
Returns
Custom products such as photo cushions and dog mattresses are NOT able to be returned. Please consider this when ordering.
If you wish to return any other product, you MUST contact our customer care team first. You can do that via our Contact Us page.
Please contact us within 30-days of receiving your item should you wish to return it.
Items should be returned unused and in the original packaging.
You must pay the cost of returning an item.
We suggest you use a signed for or insured method of delivery. If you are returning an item for exchange, then you will need to pay for the delivery of the exchanged item.
When sending the items back, ensure you’ve put your name and order number so we are able to refund you.
